Bowling On 33rd South

I painted this one a year or so ago and showed it in a small local gallery for a few months. It did not seem to get much response so I put it in my basement. I remember I really liked the painting at the time, but I kind of forgot about it when I stored it away in the basement. Someone recently saw it on my website and puchased it so I guess it wasn't so bad after all.

Oil on panel, 24"x20".

Really? I've always loved this one along with a few of the other retro street scenes. It's just beautiful.

Thanks man.
I have seen people go crazy over what I consider "ho-hum" paintings, and other knock out paintings go seemingly unoticed. I guess that is part of what makes art so magical.

I love this painting- something about places you know and love that are so ordinary but look wonderful when you've painted them.
